49 hectares in Makarewa
The Makarewa data centre park is being developed across a 49-hectare site plus Tasman Ring subsea cable landing at Oreti Beach.
Construction underway
Works are underway, including site preparation, roading and formation of future data centre platforms.
Southland connected
The project will combine large-scale computing infrastructure with power and international digital connectivity.
Community Meetings
Come along and hear directly from the project team
We’re holding regular community meetings at the Makarewa Country Club to provide updates on the project and give people an opportunity to ask questions.
Each meeting will include a general project update as well as a closer look at a particular topic, such as consenting, environmental management, construction activity or another issue the community has told us it wants to know more about.
There will also be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
